Giada - Bottos 1 kg
Details
Bottos' Giada seed mix was specially designed by selecting the best European lawn varieties to make it particularly suitable for use in shaded conditions in home gardens and parks.
The presence of Festuca Rubra Rubra and Festuca Rubra Commutata gives the lawn a refined appearance thanks to thinner and finer leaves allowing it to achieve greater density in a short time with better resistance to low cutting, ensuring a more intense color during the winter months even in the coldest areas. The color tends towards a brighter shade especially during the warmer periods.
Tolerant to fungal diseases such as Dollar Spot, Red Thread, Dollar Spot, and Microdochium nivale.
The importance of fresh seeds
Using old seeds is a serious mistake that can completely compromise the success of the lawn. Old seeds germinate poorly and unevenly and it will be very difficult to get the lawn to cover the ground without leaving easy room for invasive weeds. Bestprato guarantees that its seeds are fresh, in fact, thanks to the close collaboration with Bottos, we are the only shop able to guarantee that the seeds are always the most recent production available.
Usage tips
| Sowing and Dosage | Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 8°C). The dosage is 30-40 g/sqm, the maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect preparation of the seedbed. It is always recommended to use lawn topsoil. For overseeding, increase the dosage to 50 g/sqm. |
| Cutting | Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the existing vegetation. In annual management, in full shade do not go below 6 cm, while in mixed sun/shade areas the mowing can be managed around 4 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the existing vegetation |
| Irrigation | During sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. During the summer period, irrigate with 6 mm/day of water and increase to 10 mm/day in full shade from deciduous trees. |
| Nutrition | Phosphate fertilization at sowing. In shade management, opt for an N/K ratio of 1:2 with no more than 15 units of Nitrogen per sqm/year. In sun/shade conditions, do not exceed 20 units of Nitrogen per sqm/year. Also schedule 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to shade and heat. |
