Royal Blue - Bottos 1 kg
Professional seeds for a dark green lawn resistant to diseases and drought.
Royal Blue is a seed for creating a lawn with a strong dark green color and a medium-fine texture, ideal for areas with a warm or temperate climate (not in the mountains). It is a mixture composed of the latest generation of American varieties, with high resistance to drought and salinity, heat and cold stress, and the main diseases. A seed that withstands trampling very well even in the shade, with excellent results in up to 50% less direct light.
CHARACTERISTIC ELEMENTS - Royal Blue contains an American tall fescue variety (TCP) with extraordinary performance in terms of resistance, germination, density, and color. A further improvement of an excellent mixture.
All the American varieties of fescue contained are of high quality, at the top of the American NTEP rankings, featuring a significant dark green color, fine leaf texture, and improved tolerance to poor irrigation and the main summer diseases compared to other varieties available on the national market.
Using old seeds is a serious mistake that can completely compromise the success of the lawn. Old seeds germinate poorly and unevenly and it will be very difficult to get the lawn to cover the ground without leaving easy room for invasive weeds. Bestprato guarantees that its seeds are fresh, in fact, thanks to the close collaboration with Bottos, we are the only shop able to guarantee that the seeds are always the most recent production available.

Usage tips
| Sowing and Dosage | Germination can take from 4 to 10 days in direct correlation with soil temperatures (soil temperature required above 12°C). The dosage is 40-50 g/m2, maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect preparation of the seedbed. It is recommended to use lawn topsoil. For regeneration, increase the dosage to 55/60 g/m2 |
| Mowing | Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 6-8 cm. Never remove more than 30% of the existing vegetation and do not cut below 40mm. Below this measure, you can only use a spiral cut. With mowing management above 60 mm, the carpet becomes coarser, with a more pronounced leaf texture. |
| Irrigation | During sowing and reseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until complete germination. For a mature lawn, during the summer period, irrigate with 10 mm of water every 2-3 days. Pay attention to water management, do not overdo the quantities and frequencies of distribution during the hottest periods so as not to favor the onset of potential seasonal diseases. In case of shade from pine trees, double the watering times during the hottest periods. |
| Nutrition | Phosphate fertilization at sowing and then management of the mature carpet with 25 units of Nitrogen per m2/year, choosing fertilizers specific for lawns, preferably controlled release. Schedule 4 annual fertilizations.. Also schedule 2 to 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to trampling and heat. |
