FERTILIZER FOR PREPARING MACROTREME GRASSES FOR DORMANCY ENTRY
COLD TIME, an NK organo-mineral compound fertilizer with a 4.(3).8 + 2 MgO ratio, containing a high proportion of “noble” organic matter (well over 50%), is the fertilizer that provides the best performance during the difficult (for grass) period preceding the onset of dormancy in every macrotherm grass in the Zollaverde Macro range. It contains nitrogen solely in organic form, entirely derived from plant sources, rich in a very wide range of amino acids (an almost
complete aminogram) and readily “recognized” and usable by plants and soil microorganisms. It has no unpleasant or offensive odors. Its specific composition allows reserve carbohydrates to accumulate in the appropriate organs (stolons and rhizomes), enabling the grass to withstand prolonged periods of stress (winter) and making the subsequent spring vegetative recovery immediate and easy. It contains no processing by-products or waste (no heavy metals and no latent phytotoxicity). The high potassium content ensures dense, robust grass that is resistant to foot traffic even during vegetative dormancy, as it catalyzes many plant enzymatic processes. The presence of completely water-soluble and therefore immediately available magnesium provides an immediate color-enhancing effect. Does not stain. Easy to spread and readily soluble.

Practical application advice
COLD TIME is particularly effective in preparing macrotherm species for winter rigors and dormancy, providing adequate carbohydrate reserves while also exerting an anti-stress effect. It is suitable for both ornamental lawns
(gardens) and sports lawns (football pitches or golf courses). Depending on soil and climatic conditions, its effects usually last 10–12 weeks. COLD TIME should be spread over dry, mown lawn and then lightly watered immediately afterward.
